The new D&D collar (Deep and Dynamic) represents a unique innovation in the world of freediving, designed to meet the needs of both deep diving and dynamic disciplines. The name itself reflects its key feature: a collar engineered to deliver excellent performance in both disciplines, eliminating the need to purchase two separate products.
Key Features:
1. Design for Depth:
The collar is made of lead coated with a comfortable thermoplastic rubber overlay. The main part weighs 910 grams, and can be customized with 5 interchangeable lead weights on each side (40, 50, 60, 70, and 80 grams), allowing a maximum total weight of approximately 1,630 grams, including the metal components. These lead weights can easily be replaced with lightweight plastic pieces, reducing the collar’s weight to as low as 1 kg, offering a variable weight system to accommodate different needs and wetsuit thicknesses used throughout the year.
2. Design for Dynamics:
For dynamic disciplines, where a higher weight is required, the base collar can be supplemented with additional weights, matching the type and weight of the segments used for DYNO model . The rear segments are attached using the same secure fixing system, enabling the total weight to reach up to 5 kg, while maintaining a compact size and comfort.
3. Available Configurations:
C4 offers three standard configurations:
• Constant Weight Collar, designed for depth diving.
• Constant Weight Collar + 4 Rear Segments, with a total weight of about 3 kg.
• Constant Weight Collar + 5 Rear Segments, with a total weight of just over 4 kg.
Freedivers who start with the basic collar can later purchase the 4-segment set to reach a total weight of 3 kg, or select DYNO segments (available in 290 g or 1 kg sizes) to further increase the total weight.
